Given Celik’s contract expiration and his likely departure, Roma is eyeing Yukhym Konoplya, a 26-year-old right-back for Shakhtar Donetsk and the Ukraine national team.

Preliminary discussions have already begun between the parties regarding a possible move to Italy next summer.

Konoplya has not renewed his contract with the Donetsk club and intends to move abroad.

His current deal with Shakhtar runs until the end of September, and his departure could occur through an agreement between the clubs or, possibly, in January as a free agent.

The defender has 27 appearances and 2 goals for the Ukrainian national team.

Valencia is also closely monitoring the 1999-born player, who has scored 2 goals and 3 assists in the Ukrainian league.
