Robert MacIntyre posted a second round 64 at the Valero Texas Open on Friday, and holds a four shot lead over Ludvig Aberg heading into the weekend.
MacIntyre and Aberg have each won twice on the PGA Tour, and they will both be confident in their chances of winning for a third time this weekend.

However, the 29-year-old Scot holds the advantage over the 26-year-old Swede with 36 holes still to play at the Valero Texas Open.
Both MacIntyre and Aberg stumbled down the stretch at The Players Championship a few weeks ago, so they will be desperate to make amends at the Valero Texas Open this week.
Aberg will be doing the chasing over the weekend, with MacIntyre in pole position to win the trophy in San Antonio.
The two players know each other very well, having been part of two consecutive successful European Ryder Cup teams.

MacIntyre and Aberg have both played some scintillating golf at TPC San Antonio so far this week.

The man from Oban, Scotland, is in total control of his golf ball right now and he made his second round of eight-under-par 64 actually look fairly easy.
And in fairness to Aberg, he always makes the game look far easier than it actually is.
After his second round, MacIntyre was asked by reporters what it has been like to play alongside Aberg during the first two rounds in San Antonio this week.

“Yeah. We’re good friends obviously from the Ryder Cup and stuff,“ MacIntyre said.
“We get on really well. It’s good to play with good players and you can kind of build in a round.
“It was good to see him play well, and obviously myself.“

Unless someone goes crazy on Friday afternoon, MacIntyre and Aberg will be paired up once again for round three of the Valero Texas Open.

The Scotsman was visibly delighted with the way in which he played on day two of the Valero Texas Open.
He was asked which part of his game he was pleased with in particular.
“Yeah, everything. I mean, I’ve been driving the ball nice,” MacIntyre said.
“Got a new Titleist driver in the bag. Iron play today was exceptional I would say.
“Hit a pure wedge shot on 17, I thought it was absolutely dynamite there. Approach play, hitting the number, hitting the targets.

“Got to finish off with good putting. Overall, just really solid.“
If Robert MacIntyre continues to play like he did on Friday, Ludvig Aberg will have his work cut-out trying to catch him over the weekend at the Valero Texas Open.
