Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III shared photos of a recent car crash that he was involved in along with his family.
“Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas,” Griffin wrote in a Friday post on X. “Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times, blown both front tires. Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe.”
Griffin’s back will be getting checked out by doctors while his wife, Grete, said that she will get a CT scan after hitting her head during the crash (via TMZ Sports).
The 35-year-old was previously selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft by the Washington Commanders.
While Griffin earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors for his 2012 campaign, he made just 27 starts throughout the rest of his career as he experienced multiple leg injuries including a dislocated ankle and two ACL tears.
