Inter Milan have not given up their pursuit of Manu Kone, especially with Roma pressured by Financial Fair Play rules.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Giallorossi must raise around €90 million from player sales.

Indeed, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side failed to comply with FFP during the summer transfer window.

However, refusing to sell Manu Kone to Inter in August, despite a €40 million offer, only postponed the problem.

Therefore, Beppe Marotta remains hopeful of signing the French midfielder.

After dropping interest in Ademola Lookman, Inter made Kone their top target toward the end of the transfer window.

Yet, Roma refused to negotiate the sale of the 24-year-old, who enjoyed a dream debut season in Serie A last term.

Despite Roma’s resistance, they may need to lower their guard in the next transfer session.

Indeed, the capital-based giants need cash to stay within FFP rules.

Meanwhile, Inter may try to take advantage of Roma’s precarious financial situation to sign Kone.
