After coming out victorious in a chaotic trilogy against France’s Alexis Nicolas, ONE Championship lightweight Muay Thai champion Regian Eersel is ready to fight his first fresh face since 2023.

The Surinamese fighter is now set to defend his title against England’s George ‘G-Unit’ Jarvis in the main event of ONE Fight Night 34 on Amazon Prime Video on August 1st, per sources with the promotion.

Jarvis has impressed with a four-fight winning streak to this point, with his best win coming by knockout over Isuzu Cup and IFMA Muay Thai champion Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong in November of 2024.

After one more win to kick off 2025, in which he avenged a prior loss to Mouhcine Chafi, it became clear that Jarvis was ready for his first world title shot.

He will run into an experienced champion in Eersel who is fresh off the triumph of a trilogy win, but also the dismay of losing one of his two ONE Championship belts on the scales, leaving him with only the Muay Thai belt.

Still, Eersel defended the kickboxing title four times and this Muay Thai title twice already; he has wins over the likes of Nieky Holzken, Sinsamut Klinmee, and Jo Nattawut.

It will require the best performance of his career for the English challenger to dethrone a fighter like that.

Only time will tell if he is up to the task.

Regian Eersel (c) vs George Jarvis is the first bout announced for ONE Fight Night 34, which takes place on August 1st, 2025 in Lumpinee Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, streaming live on Amazon Prime Video.
