The Red Sox are looking to snap their losing skid against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Boston followed up an outstanding 35-8 record between June 18 and Aug. 7 with its first four-game losing streak in more than six weeks, with the offense unsurprisingly sputtering after playing out of its own league and the pitching staff stumbling for the first time in a while.

Ranger Suarez will toe the rubber for the fourth time since being placed on the injured list, with his last three outings lasting just 4.2 innings, 4.0 innings, and 3.0 innings, respectively, against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Blue Jays, and Chicago White Sox. If he can’t turn things around, it might be time to start worrying about the man who was supposed to hold together the rotation.
Red Sox manager Chad Tracy won’t make any personnel changes when it comes to the lineup, sticking with the group that now includes Adley Rutschman, Willson Contreras, and Wilyer Abreu batting 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
José Soriano will make his second start since being acquired from the Los Angeles Angels on Aug. 3, entering the contest with a 3.24 ERA.
Kazuma Okamoto and Jesús Sánchez will enter the lineup for George Springer and Nathan Lukes.
The Red Sox and Blue Jays will wrap up their series on Thursday at Rogers Centre.
