Richard Childress Racing is changing its leadership structure after a season that left the team out of the Chase. RCR announced Wednesday that crew chief Richard Boswell will become vice president of competition and that Art Trejo will fill a newly created role as director of development and innovation.
Both moves take effect for 2027. Boswell will finish this season on top of Austin Dillon’s pit box before moving into the new job. Team owner Richard Childress did not dress up the reason for the changes.
