Rams fans can watch their team’s Week 1 game against the 49ers on the same service that brought them Squid Game and Love is Blind: Netflix.
According to the AP, someone with knowledge of the scheduling has reported to them that Netflix will air L.A.’s week 1 matchup against San Francisco from Melbourne, Australia on September 10th.
Netflix will air the Week 1 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia, a person familiar with the move told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the NFL schedule has not been finalized.
The game will be aired in primetime in the United States at 8:35 p.m. ET and 5:35 p.m. PT on Sept. 10. Melbourne is 14 hours ahead of New York and 17 hours ahead of Los Angeles and San Francisco, meaning it will kick off at 10:35 a.m. the next day in Australia.
Streaming and the NFL were an inevitable pairing that started several years ago and has only expanded during the pandemic era. NFL fans must not only have CBS, Fox, CBS, and ESPN to watch all of their team’s games, but also Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and the NFL Network (maybe that’s not the case now since they were bought by ESPN?). Not even NFL’s own Sunday Ticket will help you with the games on streaming.

The Rams have enough on their plate giving up a home game to the 49ers on the other side of the world, but now their fans need to schedule when to renew (and cancel) their Netflix subscription too.
