Sebastien Denis of FootMercato has some interesting information today about the future of Ibrahim Mbaye.

The winger is pushing for a move away from his boyhood club, desiring a more regular starting role somewhere. He’s “no longer willing to settle for a bit-part role in Paris.”

According to Denis, this is against the wishes of his “entourage”, who are pushing him in a different direction.

Premier League teams start to circle promising winger

Premier League teams are interested: Denis names Tottenham and Aston Villa, with Villa apparently the “hottest team in the race” as they look to strengthen for another Champions League campaign.

PSG are still in a strong position here, and they could easily just block Mbaye’s exit this summer and try to encourage him to stay long term by using him a lot in the year to come. Equally, if he really wants to go and Premier League teams are keen, perhaps they will simply shrug their shoulders and cash in?

All will become clear in the coming weeks.

In other news…

While Mbaye could go, PSG are closing in on their first major attacking addition of the summer, with a top Ligue 1 talent already having agreed personal terms.

Kang-in Lee is set to join Atletico Madrid, with Fabrizio Romano now having given his “here we go” treatment to the deal, which will be for around €40m.
