This week, comments emerged from FC Barcelona club chief Joan Laporta’s advisor, Enric Masip, regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Lamine Yamal.
Mundo Deportivo reported that PSG was ready to break its own transfer record this past summer, offering up to €250 million—surpassing the €222 million they spent previously—to sign Yamal.
Last month, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the timeline of when PSG planned to make their aggressive move for Yamal.
Masip spoke with El Chiringuito and noted: “Paris Saint-Germain made an offer worth €250 million for Lamine Yamal last summer. Laporta didn’t even consider that, no chance to sell Lamine.”

L’Equipe reports that PSG have categorically denied the report suggesting the club offered €250 million for Yamal, emphasizing their stance of “one million percent.” The club clarified that it was financially impossible for them to make such a proposal during the summer transfer window.

There’s no denying that the Ligue 1 side are willing to spend on players, even if the transfer price is high, such as Randal Kolo Muani, although they might be having buyer’s remorse there. However, it doesn’t appear they are willing to repeat the Neymar Jr. saga when it comes to Yamal.
