There’s arriving in style and then there’s this. Pine Canyon Golf Club, an exclusive private club in Flagstaff, Arizona, has partnered with PrismJet to offer on-demand charter flights to whisk away golfers to this scenic, tree-lined mountain escape.
Pine Canyon, ranked 13th in the Golfweek’s Best: Top private golf courses in Arizona list and tied for 56th in the Golfweek’s Best: Top 200 residential golf courses in the U.S. list, has elevated the experience for its members.

Instead of a two-hour-or-so drive from the greater Phoenix area, golfers can hop on a small plane at the Scottsdale Airport for a 30-minute flight. In other words, instead of that time spent in a car heading up I-17, that’s about nine holes of golf that could be played

Pine Canyon, which opened in 1934, was designed by Jay Morrish. It winds through the pine tree-covered hills just south of Flagstaff and several holes offer dramatic views of Humphrey’s Peak, the tallest mountain in Arizona at 12,637 feet. Flagstaff is at about 7,000 feet, so golfers can enjoy a little extra pop in their tee shots at that elevation.
The 18 holes play 7,265 from the tips while the 19th hole, aptly named “Double or Nothin'”, is a 100-yard shot to an island green. It’s perfectly situated from the men’s locker room patio as well as the clubhouse dining veranda. It’s popular among the membership for social events, tournaments and closest-to-the-pin competitions.

The golf club also has a “ghost tree”, a dramatic, towering Ponderosa pine that fronts the 14th green. Stripped of its pine needles after weathering the test of time, the tree remains a home to a nest of Ospreys at its very top.
The PrismJet flights can be booked on just 48 hours notice for flights on private jets including a King Air 350i to a Global 5000. And they make the trek not just from Scottsdale, as PrismJet has departures from Las Vegas and southern California as well.
