Playing golf at Medinah in the fall can be tricky. Chicago’s not exactly known for its forgiving environment; the rainy, dreary weather nearly cost the Bears their hope when Caleb Williams went down with an injury Sept. 20. Four days later, the Windy City kicks off the 2026 Presidents Cup.

AccuWeather calls for temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s throughout the four-day international golf competition, though the National Weather Service predicts chillier days in the mid-60s. As long as the wind gusts stay under control, play should hold up.

The only thing worse than golf in the cold is golf in the cold rain, and Scottie Scheffler, Adam Scott and the rest of the U.S. and International teams don’t have much to worry about on that front. There is a chance rain could interrupt the final day of singles matches, but for now, the forecast is clear.
