The Rams are a few days away from wrapping up their training camp at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). The team will return to its home site of Woodland Hills on August 6th, in which they will continue practicing with a few joint practices scheduled to take place later against the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. There is still plenty of competition to take place before the Rams whittle down their roster to 53 players but let’s go ahead and predict who is likely to make the team after five training camp practices.

Quarterbacks (3)

Matthew Stafford, Stetson Bennett, Ty Simpson

No surprises here. Stafford is the franchise quarterback. Stetson Bennett is the only backup with preseason experience. And Ty Simpson is the team’s future. Don’t expect any changes here before the season barring a preseason injury, in which case the team will likely reach out to Jimmy Garoppollo.

Running Backs (4)

Kyren Williams, Blake Corum, Jarquez Hunter, Ronnie Rivers^

Kyren and Corum will be the lead backs. Jarquez Hunter should find his way onto the field at some point this season after getting his rookie year under his belt. Ronnie Rivers rejoins the 53 man roster for purely special teams purposes.

Changes: Ronnie Rivers (In), Dean Connors (Out)

Wide Receivers (5)

Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, CJ Daniels, Jordan Whittingon, Konata Mumpfield

With the Rams committed to going to 13 personnel more, there is just no reason to think the team will keep 6 wide receivers, especially if Kyren Williams is fielding punts now. That makes Xavier Smith expendable.
