Niko Kovač could make up to three changes to his Borussia Dortmund side that beat St. Pauli ahead of their UEFA Champions League game against Lille at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday night.
Julian Ryerson has recovered from an illness after missing Dortmund’s 2-0 win against St. Pauli in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Kovač confirmed that the Norwegian is fit, and he is expected to replace Yan Couto in the starting lineup. Gio Reyna and Maximilian Beier also both started at the weekend, but there should be a place for Julian Brandt and Jamie Gittens after the duo’s substitute appearance against St. Pauli.
Borussia Dortmund are without long-term absentee Felix Nmecha, but the only noticeable question mark heading into their game against Lille is the availability of Carney Chukwuemeka. The Englishman made an appearance against St. Pauli but suffered a knock following a collision. Kovač said in Monday’s press conference that they “will see how things develop overnight” before making a decision.
