The practice rounds are in the books. The glitz and glamour of the gala made some headlines. The competition starts Friday. But Thursday was the day for the Solheim Cup opening ceremony.
The 12-woman American team celebrated alongside the 12-women European team at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. U.S. captain Angela Stanford and European captain Anna Nordqvist, of course, were there as well, flanked by their assistants. Each captain took to the mic for some opening remarks as the hype towards Friday morning foursomes continues to build.
