If there were still any doubts about the resolve of Scottie Scheffler, he obliterated every single one of them on Sunday, coming from behind before pulling away to win the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Along with it, he sealed his second title in the FedEx Cup.

It was Scheffler’s second victory in three weeks after ruling the FedEx St. Jude Championship earlier this month.
The World No. 1 first won the FedEx Cup in 2024.

CBS Sports’ Trevor Immelman could not help but gush about Scheffler’s impressive season.
“The majority of professional golfers ever to play on the PGA Tour would gladly have taken his season before he got these two wins late.”
“The amount of times he was in contention: Three wins, 10 other top-five finishes in 20 starts. That’s like mind-boggling! I mean, I would take that right now for any year of my career.”
Immelman had two wins on the PGA Tour, including the Masters Tournament in 2008.

The 30-year-old Scheffler has surpassed Tiger Woods for most earnings on the PGA Tour, collecting $130.4 million. He also won The American Express in January.
He was three shots behind at the start of the final round of the Tour Championship. But he saved his best for last, ending with a three-shot victory.
Scheffler celebrated in the best way possible.
“There was an open bar inside, and I’m like, ‘All right, I’m grabbing a beer.’ It tasted great. I don’t really drink often. My wife and manager were like, ‘Wow, I haven’t seen you have a beer in a long time.’ Well, the season’s over now. I’m going to have a beer. Well-earned beer,” said Scheffler in a report from the Associated Press.

He became only the third player to have multiple titles in the FedEx Cup, joining Woods and Rory McIlroy.
