ESPN and TNT released their broadcast schedules for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday, and they feature a healthy dose of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Penguins will have 20 national broadcasts in the 2026-27 season, tied for the most in the NHL. The Boston Bruins are the only other team scheduled to have 20 national broadcasts this year.

The Penguins will appear on ESPN four times, ABC five times, ESPN+/Hulu one time, and TNT 10 times.
All four games between the Penguins and Washington Capitals will be featured nationally, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. There’s a decent chance that this will be Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin’s final NHL season, so the networks want to make sure they get the top ratings for those games.
The Penguins will also play the Philadelphia Flyers twice on national television, including the season opener on Sept. 30. That game will be televised by TNT.
Locally, SportsNet Pittsburgh will carry Penguins games for a fourth season in a row. Josh Getzoff returns as the play-by-play announcer and will work alongside a rotating analyst duo of Colby Armstrong and Phil Bourque.
