Paige Spiranac Makes Her Opinion of Adam Sandler Crystal Clear After Working Together in 'Happy Gilmore 2' originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Golf influencer and former professional player Paige Spiranac has made no secret of her admiration for Hollywood star Adam Sandler after the two worked together on Netflix’s “Happy Gilmore 2.”

The cameo marked Spiranac’s surprise debut in a feature film and her behind-the-scenes experience left her with nothing but praise for the comedy icon.

“I got to shoot my scene with Adam Sandler, and he is one of the most genuine, funny, kind, humble human beings,” Spiranac said on Instagram Stories. “You forget that he is Adam Sandler. He just is so amazing… I can’t say enough good things about him.”

The sequel to the 1996 golf comedy classic premiered on July 25, with a celebrity-packed cast that includes Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny, Becky Lynch, Post Malone, Eminem and major golf stars such as Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka.

Spiranac’s role as a sporting-goods store employee almost didn’t happen. She previously revealed that her cameo came about in an unconventional way, from a viral fake casting call.

In the film, her character gets a front-row view of Happy Gilmore’s legendary swing. During the scene, Sandler’s character blasts a golf ball straight through a simulator screen and into the wall. Spiranac’s character bursts into laughter as the crowd cheers — a reaction that fans say feels natural given her real-life golf background.

From Golf to Social Media Presence

For Spiranac, this Hollywood opportunity is another milestone in her varied career. After competing in NCAA Division I golf at the University of Arizona and San Diego State, she briefly turned professional before shifting to media, modeling and content creation.

Her social media presence, with over four million Instagram followers, has made her one of golf’s most recognizable figures. She has become popular for her instructional videos, outspoken commentary and campaigns challenging traditional golf dress codes.

Away from the movie set, Spiranac is staying busy in golf. She recently joined the upstart Grass League in a front-office role, helping to develop its social media and on-course content strategy.

She’s also continuing her work on the PGA Tour’s Creator Council, representing the growing influence of digital media in golf.

As for acting, Spiranac hasn’t ruled it out. Her short but memorable appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2” could open the door for more screen roles in the future. But for now, she’s just savoring the moment of sharing the screen with one of her favorite comedians.
