Saisha Patil added to her strong debut season for the Okemos girls golf team.

And she helped the Wolves advance to the team state finals in the process.

Patil was the medalist at a Division 1 regional on Wednesday, Oct. 9, with her round of 70 at Dunham Hills Golf Club in Hartland. She was one of two golfers to place in the top 10 for Okemos, which finished as the team runner-up at the regional with a score of 340. Okemos was four strokes behind champion Grand Blanc.

Sophomore Anika Srivastave had a round of 84 while plasing seventh individually for Okemos.

Holt sophomore Racheeni Her qualified for the state finals as an individual after finishing third overall with her round of 78. Grand Ledge senior Erin McGinnis was also an individual qualifier and placed eighth after carding an 85.

DIVISION 4 AT JACKSON LUMEN CHRISTI

Olivet senior Jocelyn Rolston was the medalist at a regional at Cascades Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 7. She shot a 90 while becoming the first boys or girls regional golf champion in school history. Rolston won the regional title by one stroke while earning a trip to the state finlas as an individual and helped Olivet finish fourth as a team.

DIVISION 4 AT AUBURN HILLS

Lansing Catholic and Bath freshman Addilyn Duflo emerged as champions at a regional Monday, Oct. 6 at Fieldstone.

Lansing Catholic shot a 381 as a team while winning the regional by 19 strokes over Napoleon. Bath finished third as a team after shooting a 401.

Duflo was the regional medalist and shot a 78. She edged Napoleon’s Anna McCubbins by a stroke for the title.

Lansing Catholic had each of its five golfers finish in the top 10 while claiming the team title. Anna Robinson led the success and was third with her round of 89. Eryn O’Connell was fifth, Addi Rule and Elisabeth Ruddell tied for sixth and Olivia Riley was 19th for the Cougars,

DIVISION 2 AT FOREST AKERS EAST

Mason was the runner-up and DeWitt placed third at a regional on Monday, Oct. 6.  Mason shot a 362 as a team and was 40 strokes behind champion Dexter. DeWitt had a team score of 368.

Mason had four golfers finish in the top 15 led by senior Tylar Southwell taking fourth with her round of 85. Ruby Petee was eighth and shot an 89, while Jocelyn Straub and Brooklyn Savoie each tied for 15th.

Sophie Beland was one of three DeWitt golfers to finish in the top 15 and shot an 87 and Sydney Ferguson was eighth with a round of 89. Erynn Hanlin placed 13th for DeWitt.

East Lansing’s Kinley Kiefer and St. Johns’ Delaney Nelson and Emma Miller each qualified for the state finals as individuals. Kiefer and Nelson were among the golfers to finish tied for fourth with their rounds of 85. Miller shot a 90 and placed 10th while being one of the top three individuals scorers not on a qualifying team.

DIVISION 2 AT PETOSKEY

Owosso captured a regional title on Oct. 6 at Bay View with its team total of 368. The Trojans edged runner-up Alpena by a stroke for the championship.

Freshman Samantha Ross led the strong showing for Owosso and was fourth individually with her round of 86. Alexis harris was fifth with a round of 88 and Marley Ayers shot a 91 to place seventh for the Trojans.

DIVISION 3 AT ALMA

Corunna finished 13th at a Division 3 regional at Pine River on Tuesday, Oct. 7.  Alivia Doggett had a round of 91 and placed seventh to lead the Cavaliers
