Boxing’s super lightweight division features some top-tier talent. Oscar Duarte and Kenneth Sims. Jr. both look to stand out when they face off on August 2. The fight in Chicago airs on DAZN.

Ranked fourth in the WBA’s rankings, Sims (22-2-1) is a nine-time National Champion with eight wins via knockout. On a nine-fight win streak, Sims is preparing for a true breakout performance.

The two were originally scheduled to fight in November, but a knee injury forced Sims off the card. “Bossman” is ready to erase doubts after being forced to back out.

“That was the biggest opportunity of my entire career,” Sims said via BoxingScene. “No way I’m backing out of that because I’m scared of somebody.”

Ranked fifth, Duarte (29-2-1) has won three straight since losing against Ryan Garcia in 2023. The four-time National Champion looks for his third win in four contests via knockout.

Two former world champions collide on the Oscar Duarte vs. Kenneth Sims Jr. undercard, while rising stars look to impress.
