Ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, NHL.com has released its top 26 prospects list. As expected, 2026 first overall pick Gavin McKenna took the top spot, followed by Porter Martone and Anton Frondell. The list also featured one Vancouver Canucks prospect, with Caleb Malhotra being ranked 22nd overall.
Malhotra was selected third overall by Vancouver during the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old had an OHL campaign to remember, recording 84 points during the regular season before adding 26 points in 15 playoff games. Malhotra is headed to the NCAA this year, where he will play for Boston University.
