The Azzurri’s fourth summer friendly ended in a 1:1 draw. Vano scored for Casertana, Politano for the Italian champions.

⚡️ Politano responds to the deficit

After half an hour of clear field superiority by SSC Napoli, it’s the visitors who surprise. In the 33rd minute, Vano rises unchallenged after a corner from Pezzella and beats Meret at the near post – 0:1 for the Red-Blues.

However, SSC Napoli’s response doesn’t take long and comes shortly after with a magical action by Matteo Politano. The Azzurri’s winger starts a breathtaking solo, bypasses three opponents and scores with his left foot, beating the opposing goalkeeper and equalizing with a great goal.

🔙 Standing Ovations for McTominay

In the second half, despite an offensive style of play and several chances, Napoli fails to break through Casertana’s defensive wall, and the game ends 1:1. A draw that does not worry coach Antonio Conte, as there is an important bright spot: the comeback of Scott McTominay.

The Scottish midfielder, MVP of the last Serie A season, entered the game in the last half hour to the applause of the audience, leaving behind the injury problems that had sidelined him in the first test matches.
