With only four matches left before the 2024/25 La Liga campaign comes to an end, the league, in partnership with EA Sports FC, has announced the list of nominees for the Team of the Season.
As many as eight Barcelona players have made the cut for the final nominations and will be in contention to be named in the Team of the Season.
Indeed, Hansi Flick’s entire first-choice backline of Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, and Alejandro Balde has made the list of nominees.
Other defenders in contention include Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger, Atletico Madrid’s Jose Maria Gimenez, and Barça right-back targets Andrei Ratiu (Rayo Vallecano) and Oscar Mingueza (Celta Vigo).

Barcelona’s first-choice attacking trident of Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha, who have been the most in-form trio across Europe this season, are also in the running.
They will go up against Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr., along with Ante Budimir of Osasuna and Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid among others.
As for the midfield department, Pedri happens to be the only Barcelona representative and his nomination does not come as a surprise whatsoever considering he has been the best in the world in his position this season.
Fans can now vote for their favourite players to get them into the La Liga Team of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.
