CENTRE COURT, WIMBLEDON — Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner face off in a sixth grand slam semifinal as the 24-time champion looks to dethrone the world No.1.

Both players also met in the last four here in 2023 and 2025 with Djokovic gaining the edge in the first encounter and the Italian winning last year on his way to picking up the trophy.

This will be a 12th career matchup between them and Sinner will know his opponent ended a five-match losing streak against him by winning the pair’s most recent match in the semifinals at the Australian Open this year.

The winner of this match will face world No.3 Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s final.

We’ve given a prediction for Djokovic-Sinner and we think it’s going to be a long match!

11:18 a.m. ET: History maker Djokovic is chasing more record books even at 39 years of age.

He is two wins away from breaking the record of 24 grand slam singles titles he has shared with Margaret Court since his 2023 US Open win.

Asked if he has ever surprised himself with his accomplishments, Djokovic said, “Yes and no. I guess yes, at this stage that I’m still able to battle these young guys that have 15 years less than me, that I’m able to beat them at the tightest possible scoreline.

“Of course, in a sense, it is really a nice surprise. But at the same time, I always have the highest expectations for myself. I still want to go at least one more step further.”

11:08 a.m. ET: Alexander Zverev has dumped out Arthur Fery in straight sets pretty quickly so we won’t be waiting much longer for Novak and Jannik to enter Centre Court.

11 a.m. ET: Sinner holds the 6-5 lead over Djokovic in their career match ups. Last time they met in the semifinals in the Australia Open this year though, it was the Serb who came out on top.

Sinner knows he can’t afford for his serve to be off the pace against his opponent today.

“I feel like every match is different [against Novak],” Sinner said. “Even when I had this small streak with him, I felt like every match has really its own story.

“Especially when you play on a surface like this, if you have a bad serving day or not feeling the ball very well, it’s going to be very, very tough.”

10:30 a.m. ET: Hello, and welcome to day 12 of Wimbledon.

It’s men’s semifinals day and it’s going to be a cracker. First up we’ve got British hopeful Artur Fery hoping to continue his fairytale run by seeing off Alexander Zverev. That’s taking place on Centre Court now.

The winner of that match will face either Jannik Sinner or Novak Djokovic and we’ll be bringing you live game-by-game updates of that one. Let’s get going!
