The NASCAR All-Star Race is returning to North Carolina. On Wednesday, North Wilkesboro Speedway announced that it will host the 2027 NASCAR All-Star Race in late May. The race track previously hosted the exhibition event in 2024 and 2025 before NASCAR took it to Dover Motor Speedway.
Christopher Bell is the previous All-Star Race winner at North Wilkesboro, beating Joey Logano with a late-race pass. The format for the All-Star Race is uncertain, but all parties will work together to find the best one. In 2026, NASCAR’s format for the All-Star Race at Dover wasn’t a positive result.

Now, the NASCAR All-Star Race will return to North Wilkesboro. Joey Logano beat Denny Hamlin in the track’s first points race since its comeback, leading to an old-school version of racing. Instead of returning with a points date, North Wilkesboro will hope to revitalize the All-Star Race after a rough 2026 event.
