Michael Malone and North Carolina basketball have added some additional size and length to their frontcourt for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
On Friday, Aug. 7 the Tar Heels landed South Dakota and All-Summit League center Cameron Fens out of the transfer portal, giving Malone and Co. a 7-foot, 255-pound big man on the interior.

“One of the most surreal moments of my life,” Fens wrote in an Instagram post on Aug. 7. “Humbled to wear Carolina Blue and to represent this university. Excited to get to work. Go Heels! AGTG.”
