Christopher Nkunku has completed his medical with Leipzig and is expected to sign on Tuesday, bringing his Milan career to an end after a single season.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, citing Sky Sports Germany, the France forward finished the second stage of his examinations having flown to Germany on Monday evening. Only the signature and the official announcement now remain.

Nkunku returns to Leipzig in deal worth up to €32m
The move is structured as a loan worth an initial €4m with an option to buy set at €28m, taking the total to €32m should the Red Bull club exercise it at the end of the campaign.
It represents a return for Nkunku, who established his reputation at Leipzig before moving to Chelsea. His year in Milan brought 35 appearances, eight goals and three assists, and he was among the players placed outside Ruben Amorim’s plans this summer.

The departure eases the load on a Milan hierarchy still working to move Santiago Gimenez on. The Mexican continues to train away from the group while the club push Porto to convert their proposed option into an obligation at €20m, a figure the Portuguese side have yet to match.
