The NHL trade deadline is approaching on Friday, Mar. 7, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Between now and then, the Calgary Flames will play seven games, only one of which will be at the Saddledome: a Feb. 23 contest against the San Jose Sharks.
At the 4 Nations Face-off break, the Flames are three points out of a playoff spot and, based on statistics listed at Money Puck, have a 22.5% chance of qualifying for the postseason.
General manager Craig Conroy made a splash a couple of weeks ago by acquiring Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee from the Philadelphia Flyers.
To complete the trade, Conroy dealt away Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko, who had a modified trade clause and approved the deal to the Flyers.
As we count the days and hours until the deadline, here’s a look at the Flames players whose contracts contain a no-trade clause.

Thus far, 33 players have skated in a game for the Flames this season, with over half under 30. Many of the names on lineup cards are young kids either making their season debuts on a call-up or have earned a full-time role with the club.
Meanwhile, the top ten names are above 30, and some are locked into lengthy, expensive contracts. Unsurprisingly, seven of those ten have protection clauses in their contracts, meaning they have a say in their future, whether in Calgary or another city.

Despite how competitive the Flames have been this season, some players’ names, including Kadri, are still circulating in the NHL rumor mill.
It remains to be seen whether Conroy is done wheeling and dealing. Ultimately, his decision will depend significantly on the status of the seven skaters on this list.
