It’s crazy to think it’s already August. NFL training camps opened last week and we’re going to get our first taste of preseason action with the Hall of Fame game on Thursday, Aug. 6. With practices taking place, we’re already getting a slew of injuries to follow, on top of what we already knew going into camp.

Below we’re going to be tracking all the latest injury news throughout training camp, leading up to your fantasy football draft, with helpful analysis.
Latest Updates
Ricky Pearsall, WR, 49ers (knee): San Fran has ruled out the third-year wideout for the 2026 season due to PCL surgery. It’s an unfortunate development for such a promising young receiver. With Pearsall done, the Niners signed veteran WR Deebo Samuel Sr. He’ll operate alongside Mike Evans and rookie De’Zhaun Stribling to start the season for the 49ers. Stribling becomes an interesting late-round sleeper along with Samuel, who is obviously familiar with the Kyle Shanahan offense. Also, don’t sleep on Demarcus Robinson, who we’ve seen become fantasy relevant plenty as a depth receiver on good offenses over the past few seasons.
Malik Nabers, WR, Giants (knee): We’ve gone back and forth all offseason on Nabers’ health. Turns out he feels better than expected. Nabers practiced last week for the first time since his torn ACL and apparently had been running routes prior to camp. As long as Nabers continues to look good and on the practice field, we should feel positively about him going into drafts later this month. Setbacks can always happen, but at this point, the worst-case scenario appears to be Nabers misses a game or two to start 2026. Right now, he appears on track to play Week 1. His ADP should correct itself before fantasy drafts ramp up but Nabers could still be had as a value given his talent/role in the Giants’ new offense under John Harbaugh and Matt Nagy.

Alec Pierce, WR, Colts (ankle): The expectation is for Pierce to come off the PUP list some time in the next week or so. That would put him in line to play Week 1 and not miss any time. Continue to monitor this situation, as well as the status of QB Daniel Jones, who is coming back from an Achilles tear. Pierce inked a big contract this offseason, so he should be a priority for the Colts on offense. For fantasy, he should be viewed as a volatile WR2/3 option in PPR. Pierce will have spike weeks but only averaged 3.1 catches per game last season. He’s a low-floor, high-ceiling play.
Tucker Kraft, TE, Packers (knee): Kraft was removed from the PUP list last week and returned to practice for the first time since suffering a torn ACL mid-way through last season. The tight end still has a lot of work to do but has a shot to be out there for Week 1. There’s risk in drafting Kraft given the injury but as long as he’s healthy, he has immense upside at his position. We should continue to monitor reports on Kraft coming out of Green Bay’s camp.

George Kittle, TE, 49ers (Achilles): Kittle is also on the PUP list to start camp but has a chance to be activated and return to practice. That will be a good sign Kittle will be back sooner rather than later. If he remains on the PUP list, he’s out at least the first four weeks of the season. The Niners already lost Pearsall and Christian Kirk is banged up. With Kittle sidelined, Jake Tonges is a very interesting short-term TE option for fantasy. With Kittle out early last season, Tonges was streamable in deeper PPR formats. He also caught five TDs and could be a solid red-zone target for QB Brock Purdy behind Evans and RB Christian McCaffrey.
