Following the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 37-15 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday night, fans ripped into Aaron Rodgers and newly acquired wide receiver Davante Adams following the blowout loss to Russell Wilson in his first start of the season.

The Steelers improved to 5-2 on the year, while Rodgers and the Jets dropped to 2-5, extending their losing streak to four straight games.

After benching Fields for the 13-year veteran Wilson, the former Seahawk finished Sunday night’s game by completing 16 of 29 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns after a shaky start during his initial possessions.

Wide receiver George Pickens contributed to the win with five receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown alongside cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr. who recorded two interceptions on the night.

On the other side of the ball, Rodgers finished 24 for 39 with 276 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Jets fans were thrilled about acquiring Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, who suited up in green and silver for his debut on Sunday. However, even the presence of the star wide receiver couldn’t help secure a win for the Jets, as he finished the game with three receptions for 30 yards.

New York fans appear to have officially given up on the Jets’ season after allowing the Steelers to score a season-high 37 points, taking to social media to express their disappointment and troll Rodgers.

And as always as a Jets fan the season magically ends before November. I wish I liked the NBA so I had something to watch between the World Series and the start of Aussie Rules football.

The Jets will look to gain their first win since Week 3 next Sunday against the New England Patriots on the road.
