We are still feeling the high of a New York Jets victory on a Tuesday, but that isn’t the only thing we’re celebrating.
Over the weekend, all of the moons and stars aligned for the green and white. The Jets won, the Dallas Cowboys lost, the Green Bay Packers lost, and the Indianapolis Colts lost.

The Jets control their own first-round pick, the Colts’ first-rounder, and whichever pick ends up being worse between America’s Team and the Cheeseheads. So every time the Colts, Cowboys, and Packers lose, that’s excellent news for the Jets.
The fan base can often be divided by the pro-tankers and the optimists. If we aren’t winning the Super Bowl, some fans have argued that tanking, losing on purpose, will better serve the team long-term because of the potential promised prince QB that can help turn everything around in the draft.
Well, this year the arguments should die down. Why? I’m glad you asked, random person reading this article, because the Jets can have the best of both worlds.
They can be competitive, win games, saving Aaron Glenn’s job in the process, while also getting that prized college QB, whoever that may be. Instead of rooting for the Jets to lose, root for the Colts/Packers/Cowboys to bite the dust.
