Recently acquired Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jadeveon Clowney might be making his debut for Dallas on Sunday, as the team takes on the Chicago Bears on the road. But the veteran linebacker is also dealing with some off-field drama: Clowney was arrested last week for trespassing, according to police records obtained by multiple media outlets.

Clowney was reportedly arrested in his South Carolina hometown on Sept. 12 after reportedly parking in a closed lot despite being asked to move. Clowney was charged with two misdemeanors as a result of the incident, for trespassing and failure to identify.

Two days later, the defensive end signed with the Cowboys as a free agent, helping shore up the defense after the Micah Parsons trade. The team officially announced the signing on Monday.

When asked about the arrest on Friday, Clowney said he wasn’t worried about it.

“Man, that’s been going on my whole life down there. It ain’t nothing new. Just move on from it. I’m here now,” Clowney said, via CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker.

Clowney, the 2014 No. 1 overall draft pick, played for the Carolina Panthers last season before being released in May. Dallas marks his fourth team in as many seasons.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said in a press conference on Friday that Clowney could play in Sunday’s game against the Bears. Clowney was introduced to the team and its facilities on Wednesday before joining Dallas for practice on Thursday, per Schottenheimer.

“Good practice yesterday,” Schottenheimer said. “We’ll have some meetings this afternoon to kind of finalize some things. We’ll see how today goes.”

When asked if Clowney could make his Cowboys debut on Sunday, Schottenheimer said that was possible.

“I think anything’s a possibility for sure. Again, he’s working his butt off to learn the system. He hasn’t played football in a while, but again I love the intensity and the look on his eyes,” Schottenheimer.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in a radio interview on Friday that Clowney’s availability is “a little up in the air” but that he does “expect” Clowney to play.
