Nelly Korda played alongside Lydia Ko and Haeran Ryu during the first two rounds of the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club.

Korda bounced back really well from her disappointing opening-round 73 by shooting a 68 on day two at the Women’s Open.

Meanwhile, Ko shot a 70 to follow her 71 on Thursday, and Ryu posted a 69 to back up her opening-round 66.

Nelly Korda already has four major championships to her name, including the Chevron Championship and the Women’s US Open that she won earlier this year.

And now the 28-year-old will be hoping to make it three majors in one year by triumphing at the Women’s Open.

Nelly Korda has improved her mentality and patience during major championships over the past year or so.

And she showed that in abundance during her second round at Royal Lytham & St Annes on Friday.

The four-time major champion spoke to reporters after her second round at the Women’s Open on Friday.

First, Korda was highly complimentary of Ryu, who has won the last two major championships.

Just really solid, the world number one said.

You can tell she’s a very confident player right now, as she should be. Just won the past two majors.

She’s just hitting it really good. Putting really, really well, too.

I think her and Martin just make a really good team, too, on the greens.

So, yeah, she’s playing really good golf.

Nelly Korda comments on Lydia Ko as a playing partner

Korda admitted that she loves playing alongside Ko.

Yeah, always enjoy playing with Lyds, the American admitted.

She’s amazing to watch, especially her short game. I mean, some of the shots today that she was hitting were so dirty and so impressive. So it’s fun to play with her and also fun to watch.

Yeah, I think girls are really respectful out here and we always say good shot when there is a good shot that’s hit.

Nelly Korda obviously felt very comfortable playing in the group alongside Lydia Ko and Haeran Ryu at the Women’s Open during the first two days.

And she will play alongside Ko again during the final two rounds at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
