NASCAR has finished its 15th weekend of the 2026 Cup Series season, as Daniel Suarez won at Charlotte Motor Speedway for his first victory of the year. Saurez was all good with inspections; however, multiple penalties are coming from the weekend in Charlotte. It was expected after the activities in North Carolina.

The No. 78 team for Live Fast Motorsports was penalized after a wheel came off the car during the Coca-Cola 600. As a result, crew members Ian Schulz and Deiontae Jones have been suspended from the next two NASCAR Cup Series races through Michigan International Speedway. No other penalties were handed out for Live Fast Motorsports.

As for the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, Michael Roberts was suspended through Pocono Raceway due to lug nuts not being properly installed on the No. 9 car for JR Motorsports. Finally, Evanna Howell of 23XI Racing was indefinitely suspended by NASCAR following a behavioral penalty.

With the penalties out of the way, NASCAR can now focus on Nashville Superspeedway, as the Cup, O’Reilly, and Truck Series will battle on the track.
