NASCAR’s Swear Jar received another reminder why Sunday night.
Drivers combined to utter 223 swear words over their team radios during the Southern 500, according to the latest tally shared by Joseph Srigley. At $5 per swear, that added a whopping $1,115 to the jar in a single night.

And almost immediately, NASCAR fans had the same question: How much of it came from Ryan Blaney?

The Swear Jar has become one of the more entertaining sideshows of NASCAR’s 2026 Chase.
The concept is simple: every swear word caught over a driver’s radio is worth $5. The money accumulated throughout the 10-race Chase is earmarked for charity, turning some of NASCAR’s more colorful radio chatter into something positive.
Darlington provided plenty of material.
Between the notoriously unforgiving track, changing conditions, late-race rain and the pressure of opening the championship fight, frustration was never particularly far away Sunday.

By the checkered flag, the count had reached 223.
That worked out to $1,115 after just the first of 10 Chase races, putting the Swear Jar on quite a pace before the series even reaches its next stop.
The number quickly took off on social media, with Srigley’s post generating tens of thousands of views and fans asking for something the overall total doesn’t provide: a driver-by-driver breakdown.
And one name kept coming up.
NASCAR Fans Want to See Ryan Blaney’s Total
Blaney’s reputation for some especially colorful in-car radio is hardly a secret among NASCAR fans, and the reaction to the Darlington total was almost immediate.

“They’re gonna rename it after Ryan Blaney by Bristol,” one fan joked.
“I wonder how much came from Blaney,” another wrote.
Others wanted NASCAR to take the idea one step further and publish a full “donation” leaderboard. One fan estimated Blaney had accounted for roughly 40% of the total, while another joked he was responsible for at least $600.
Those numbers are, of course, fan speculation. The publicly shared Darlington update only provided the collective total of 223 swears, not an individual breakdown, so there’s no basis to pin a specific dollar amount on Blaney.

Still, the reaction may be nearly as entertaining as the jar itself.
The Chase is only one race old, and Darlington has already pushed the total past four figures. Nine races remain, including Bristol, Talladega and a championship finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
If Sunday night was any indication, the Swear Jar is going to get considerably heavier before NASCAR crowns its 2026 champion.
And if fans get their wish, maybe we’ll eventually find out exactly who filled it.
