The Chase is on.

The NASCAR Cup Series Chase begins with the Cook Out Southern 500 on Sept. 6 at Darlington Raceway.

16 drivers are running for the Cup Series championship across the 10-race Chase. Denny Hamlin begins the Chase with a 25-point lead over Ryan Blaney.

Tyler Reddick is on the pole after practice and qualifying was canceled on Saturday, with the lineup set by the rule book metric.

The 367-lap race will feature a shift from late-afternoon to sunset to nighttime.

NASCAR race radio coverage: How to listen to NASCAR Cup race at Darlington

The Southern 500 will be aired on the radio by the Motor Racing Network. MRN has affiliates all across the country, including 94.9-FM in Nashville, and their feed can also be streamed on NASCAR.com as well as the NASCAR app. The race can also be heard on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
