The rain has played games with NASCAR throughout the afternoon and into the evening on Friday night. Just as the Craftsman Truck Series race was set to begin, the rain began to come down even harder.

The tailgaters were able to practice, but qualifying was rained out with 13 trucks left to attempt a lap. So, the lineup was set by the metric. Layne Riggs is in the pole position, but now he has to wait to make the most of that because the rain has moved in once again before the green flag.

This weekend is full of action. There isn’t a lot of extra time to spare, and given the weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday, there is likely even less than the what is on the schedule.

A little late night truckin’ on a Friday night never hurt anyone. Layne Riggs on the pole and Kaden Honeycutt right there with him. It should be a lot of fun for those willing to stay up for the this one.
