NASCAR Completes Inspection of Bubba Wallace’s Car After Historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway Win originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

On Sunday, Bubba Wallace drove his No. 23 Toyota Camry into the biggest win of his racing career to date, as he took the checkered flag at the 2025 edition of the  Brickyard 400 Presented by PPG at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Starting in front at the No. 2 spot alongside pole winner Chase Briscoe, Wallace ended his long drought for a NASCAR Cup Series race win, collecting 30 laps led and earning 50 points in a victory that will be talked about for a long time.

Shortly after the race, Wallace’s car went through an inspection, with NASCAR later announcing its findings.

“NEWS: Post-race inspection is complete at @IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway) with no issues,” NASCAR wrote in a post on X.

With the win, Wallace became just the first Black driver ever to secure a victory in a major race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“This one’s really cool,” Wallace said following the race, per Michael Marot of the Associated Press. “Coming off Turn 4, I knew I was going to get there — unless we ran out of gas. I was surprised I wasn’t crying like a little baby.”

A crash not involving Wallace in the second overtime left him and his crew wondering whether his car had enough fuel to finish the race. But when it was all said and done on the course, the 31-year-old 23XI Racing driver was triumphant. He edged out Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin, who ended up second and third on the podium. Ryan Preece finished fourth while Brad Keselowski was fifth.

Having broken his 100-race drought, Wallace will look to keep it going next Sunday, when he gets into his car again for the 2025 Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa.
