The four-year wait is almost over.

NASCAR 25, the brand’s first video game on home consoles since 2021, will hit stores on Oct. 14 for gamers on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, developer iRacing announced on July 24. A PC release on Steam is planned for a later date.

The title will be iRacing’s first console game. It follows NASCAR 21: Ignition, which drew largely negative reviews. NASCAR evaluated its video game strategy after that.

NASCAR 25 has been two years in the making. Reports of iRacing purchasing the license for an exclusive NASCAR game emerged in the fall 2023.

It will include four circuits: the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Truck Series and ARCA. It will also feature a career mode and multiplayer and online modes.

More than 190 real drivers will be in the game.

The release date announcement video was only 12 seconds long and did not hint at any other specifics. The full game reveal is scheduled for late August, per Insider Gaming.
