The United States Senior Women’s Open Championship is in Ann Arbor at the Barton Hills Country Club this week, and Michigan State women’s golf coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll is competing in the field. Slobodnik-Stoll qualified for the Open after a strong qualifier performance at The Club at Tartan Hills in Dublin, Ohio, back in June. This week will be her 17th career USGA event, while this will be her second U.S. Senior Women’s Open.
To open the event, Slobodnik-Stoll fired 77-74 in her first two rounds which was good for a T-30 placement and a made cut. Getting the opportunity to play on the weekend is big for the Spartans head coach.
