Monza caused a huge upset in their pre-season friendly, as Ivan Juric’s team beat Galatasaray 2-0 with goals from Andrea Carboni and Patrick Cutrone.

The team was celebrating its promotion into Serie A this summer after winning the play-offs, joining Venezia and Frosinone in the top flight.

Karatas came closest for Galatasaray with an angled drive that skimmed the upright, but Guvenc needed a big save to prevent Carboni completing a brace.
