The New York Yankees are back in the World Series for the first time in 15 years.

A tenth-inning blast from Juan Soto in Game 5 of the ALCS on Saturday night led the Yankees to a pennant-clinching win over the Cleveland Guardians.

Thanks to a game-tying home run from ALCS MVP Giancarlo Stanton in the sixth and two scoreless innings from closer Luke Weaver, the Yankees will now take on either the New York Mets or Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 World Series.

The Mets pushed the NLCS to at least six games on Friday with a 12-6 win that staved off elimination at home.

Now the league championship series is headed back to Los Angeles, where the Dodgers will get another chance to claim the NL pennant with a win on Sunday night.

Should the Mets fend off elimination for a second straight game, the series would go to a winner-takes-all Game 7 on Monday.

Whichever opponent the Yankees face, the World Series will take place according to the schedule below (all games broadcast on FOX.)

2024 World Series Schedule

Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 26

Game 5: Wednesday, Oct. 30 (if necessary)

Game 6: Friday, Nov. 1 (if necessary)

Game 7: Saturday, Nov. 2 (if necessary)

Should the Dodgers secure a spot in the World Series with a win on Sunday, the team would have home advantage with Games 1, 2, 6 and 7 set to take place in Los Angeles.

If the Mets push the Dodgers to seven games and then win the NL pennant, the Yankees would host the first two games of the series, as well as Games 6 and 7 if necessary, in the Bronx.
