Michael Brennan played alongside Rickie Fowler during the third round of the Rocket Classic on Saturday.
Brennan was disappointed to bogey his final hole to drop back to 14-under par, but he would have been delighted with his round overall.

Brennan played really well on day three at the Rocket Classic, firing a round of six-under par 64 to trail the leader by just one stroke.
Meanwhile, Fowler produced a really strong finish, making three birdies in his final six holes to end up three strokes off the lead.

Fowler actually did the opposite on Friday at the Rocket Classic, playing really poorly down the stretch after a scintillating start.
The final round on Sunday in Detroit should be fascinating, with the likes of Fowler, Brennan, Cam Young and Xander Schauffele all chasing down Davis Riley.

There is no doubt who the fans in Detroit would love to see win on Sunday.

Brennan spoke to reporters after his third round at the Detroit Golf Club on Saturday.
The 24-year-old was asked whether he felt any more pressure than usual due to the fact that he was playing alongside Fowler, who had such a huge following out on the golf course.
“Yeah, I think we got a little bit of that today,“ he admitted.
“I mean, Rickie had a legion of fans out there today. It was pretty cool to be, you know, to be there and see.

“I asked him on 16, you know, what he thought of the crowd, just because we had a lot of guys yelling things and stuff, and he gave me, you know, a great response, that he was very, very grateful for the fans.

“And I just thought it was really cool to be a part of.“
Rickie Fowler is one of the most popular players among the fans, so it’s no surprise that he has received such huge support this week in Detroit.
Michael Brennan explains why his new strategy is working
After his third round, Brennan spoke about a simple strategic change he recently made with his coach and caddie.
“A lot of working on some strategy stuff with my coach, Adam Harrell and Ollie, my caddie, and just being a little bit smarter into some of the greens,“ Brennan said.
“I hit a lot of balls over the greens, the back pins, or short side myself a lot.

“So trying to just avoid that and really been putting in a lot of work on my putting and seeing a lot of improvements with speed control.
“So I feel more okay if I’m hitting it, you know, 30 feet left of a pin if I’m not in position because I feel really confident from that distance.“
His new strategy seems to be working and it should surprise nobody if he goes on to win his second PGA Tour title on Sunday at the Rocket Classic.
