The circle of (golf) life was in full effect on Wednesday night. As the latest news broke that the LIV era appears to be ending soon, fans found out another polarizing figure in the game will be coming back to the big stage next month yet again.

Yes, we’re talking about Michael Block.

Everyone’s favorite—and least favorite for some reason—club pro has once again qualified for the PGA Championship. And this time, he did it in dramatic fashion by firing a final-round 69 at Bandon Dunes to move up 33 spots and into the top 20 (T-10) at the PGA Professional Championship.

Congrats to all the pros who made it into the field at Aronimink next month, including winner Jesse Droemer from the Southern Texas section and the Met Area’s Chris Gabriele, who made eagle on his final hole to jump into the top 20. But the biggest newsmaker—as always—was Block.

Golf fans vividly remember his magical week at the 2023 PGA that included that slam-dunk ace while playing with Rory McIlroy. And earlier in the week, he went viral for trying to call an albatross while his golf ball was in the air—and missing the green.

Like him or not, he’s an electric figure. And he had this amazing message “for all the haters” after qualifying for an incredible fifth consecutive PGA Championship, which is made even more incredible by the fact that he turns 50 in June.

“For all the haters, whatever, be haters,” Block says in the clip with a little wave to the camera.

Nailed it, Michael. Now go rest up, because you’ve got another show to put on in a couple weeks.
