The Mets called right-handed reliever Kevin Herget up from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Wednesday's game against the Phillies at Citi Field.
A corresponding move will be announced later on Wednesday.
Herget has pitched 4.1 innings over two games for the Mets this season, allowing two runs (one earned) while walking none and striking out one.
