Meadow Greens-Ramsey Ladies Golf Club plays “Perfect Golf” – Austin Daily Herald

Twenty-six members of the Meadow Greens-Ramsey Ladies Golf Club took to the course on Wednesday in search of a “Perfect Golf” game. The goal was to finish the round with the fewest penalty points, which were handed out for every shot in the water, shot in the sand, shot out-ot-bounds, every putt over two per hole, and for every whiffed shot. 

Winners on the front nine with only one point each were Joyce Anderson, Karen Baier, Pat Busker and Jan Waller. On the back nine, Mary Christian, Carrie Schwirtz, Chris Swatfager and Mary Jo Swoboda scored wins with only one penalty stroke each.

Chip-ins were made by Jan Thissen on hole No. 1, Mary Jo Swoboda on hole No. 5, Sandy Davis on hole No. 12, and Ardie Pepper on hole No. 13. Birdies were made by Patty Shatek on hole No. 4, and Karen Baier on hole No. 6.
