Meadow Greens-Ramsey Ladies Golf Club – Austin Daily Herald

On Wednesday the Meadow Greens – Ramsey Ladies Golf Club had 14 teams competing in a game of 2-Lady Best Ball. Each member played their own round of golf, but after each hole players subtracted their hole-handicap from their actual score. Players recorded the best of the two adjusted scores as their team score for the hole.

Winners on the front nine were the teams of Ann Christianson and Jan Thissen with a score of 30, Chris Swatfager and Carmel Taylor with a score of 31, and Ardie Pepper and Susan Westland with a score of 34 (tie broken by handicap hole). On the back nine winners were the teams of Rita Devereaux and Carrie Schwirtz with a score of 32, and Joyce Anderson and Barb Ruhter with a 33.

Chip-ins were made by Sandy Davis on hole no. 6 and Ardie Pepper on hole no. 8.
