Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all keeping a close eye on Hugo Ekitiké, with PSG set to cash in if a deal happens.
The 22-year-old striker is expected to leave Eintracht Frankfurt soon, and Paris Saint-Germain would receive a cut of any transfer fee thanks to a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Newcastle are still in the picture, viewing Ekitiké as a possible successor to Alexander Isak. They’ve been tracking him since his time in Paris, and now, according to CaughtOffside, another Premier League club has entered the race.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are reportedly monitoring the French forward closely. Football Insider claims the club is following his progress in Frankfurt while weighing their options for a new No. 9 ahead of the summer window.
Chelsea on alert as Manchester United make move for former PSG ace
CaughtOffside is now reporting that Manchester United are stepping up their plans to sign another striker, with Hugo Ekitiké emerging as a key target for the summer.
According to the report, United are said to be in the “advanced stages” of internal planning for a formal bid. They’ve already held positive talks with Ekitiké’s representatives and are preparing a serious offer as they look to bring in more firepower up front and ease the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund.
The plan is to open with a bid in the region of €60 million (£50 million), though Eintracht Frankfurt are holding out for a fee closer to €80–90 million (£67 million to £75.5 million) for the 22-year-old.
The Bundesliga side are open to selling the former Paris Saint-Germain striker this summer.
