Given everything that has surrounded Manchester City over the past day or so, Pep Guardiola’s side somehow has to find a way to win tonight against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. City won the FA Cup on Saturday with a 1-0 win over Chelsea. They now have to back up for a Premier League fixture they simply must win. Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Burnley last night means that if City does not pick up three points tonight, Mikel Arteta’s side will be crowned Premier League champions. Tonight’s match will be no stroll for City.

Manchester City face a Bournemouth side who are unbeaten in their past 16 Premier League matches. Tonight’s match is also the final home match for Andoni Iraola as Bournemouth manager, so they’ll be eager to send Iraola off in style at the Vitality Stadium. Also, Bournemouth will be eager to secure European football for next season so they have plenty to play for tonight. It does feel like everything is against City tonight, especially when you factor in the news that Pep Guardiola will leave City at the end of this season, as reported by Oliver Holt for the Daily Mail. However, great victories are formed in trying circumstances, and City are facing those tonight.

Here is latest Manchester City injury news and my predicted City starting eleven for tonight’s match.

Latest City injury and team news.

Manchester City enter tonight’s match with a full-strength squad to choose from. However, after Rodri returned for Saturday’s FA Cup final it is hard to see him starting tonight against Bournemouth. The Spanish midfielder did struggle to see out City’s win over Chelsea, and it does seem more likely that he will be in line to start Manchester City’s final Premier League fixture of the season against Aston Villa.

Manchester City simply have to win tonight. Andoni Iraola’s side will give City openings so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Pep Guardiola select an attacking starting eleven tonight. I believe he will and you can see my predicted City starting eleven below.
