The ball boy who grappled with Pitt linebacker Rasheem Biles on the sideline during Saturday’s Louisville win got the last laugh.
“In case y’all are wondering, WE GOT THAT BALL BACK AND TOOK HOME A DUB,” Louisville’s senior equipment manager wrote Saturday on X.
The viral altercation between Louisville’s senior equipment manager and Biles took place after the linebacker intercepted Pitt quarterback Miller Moss and ran the ball 75 yards for a pick-six in the second quarter.
The equipment manager appeared to try and grab Louisville’s ball back from Biles while he was celebrating on Pitt’s sideline, sparking a tussle on the sideline.
At the time, Louisville was facing a 17-0 deficit. The Cardinals went on to launch a comeback, tying the game in the final minutes of the first half and again early in the fourth quarter.
A late touchdown pass from Moss to Nate Kurisky ended up making the difference in Louisville’s 34-27 win.
Louisville improved to 4-0 overall, as well as 1-0 in ACC play, with Saturday’s win. The Cardinals’ equipment staff will now prepare for another home game as Louisville prepares to play Virginia next Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
